Hello Backers!
As the clock ticked down to 2:00am on Sunday morning, I looked at my phone, still in shock. In shock over the level of support we have received from every single backer who supported the idea of the MagBelt. When we started this company on a Lyft ride last year we never imagined this would happen. Thank you to all of our 9,707 backers. With your support, we are now the most funded belt in Kickstarter history.
Right now, we’re getting repeatedly asked 3specific questions from a lot of our project backers:
1. When Do I Get To Pick My Size And Color?
2. Can I Upgrade To The Bottle Opener Buckle Or Order More Belts?
3. When Am I Getting My MagBelt?
Question #1: We will be sending out a survey to all of our backers in the next 7 – 10 days. (If you’re new to Kickstarter, a survey is like an order form where you pick your preference in size, color, etc., and where we get your address and other info so we can send your reward. They usually come two weeks after the campaign ends).
Question #2: You will be able to upgrade your pledge to get more belts and/or buckles when you get the survey—including the ‘Merica and bottle opener buckles. We partnered with BackerKit to send better surveys that will let you purchase more belts and buckles, or upgrade if you'd like.
Question #3: Devin, Mike and I developed relationships with manufacturers prior to the campaign so that we’d be able to get your MagBelts produced and shipped as quickly as possible. We forecasted manufacturing based on the interest we’d seen from people prior to the campaign and planned accordingly, but what we didn’t foresee was the tremendous amount of support we would receive from such an awesome group of people in the Kickstarter Community. Your support made us the most funded belt in history!
We got a jump start on the manufacturing of belts and buckles in June, so we'll still be able to deliver the initial orders in late August. However, with such a high volume of pledges it will take some extra time to produce and ship the belts and buckles to the remaining 9,000 backers.
Either way, we are 100% confident that you will receive your reward in due time and promise to take pictures of the manufacturing and fulfillment process as we move forward, so you can rest assured we’re making continual progress. We are a new company that is dedicated to creating a product that is Born In The USA and taking the time to do it right.

I have a great hiking camera bag, but I don't have something that I can carry around everyday that would be good for the two cameras I usually carry. KICKSTARTER UPGRADE - The MagBuckle Bottle Opener

First off Kyle, Devin, and I would like to thank you for all your support! When we launched six weeks ago we never expected such a wonderful response. We are also excited to announce our optional upgrade.
About a week into our campaign, we decided to create a buckle that could also function as a bottle opener. We just completed our designs and prototypes, and we want you to tell us which one you like better:
Which one do you like the best? #centercut, #bottomcut, or #doublecut
I like the double cut, Kyle likes the bottom cut, and Devin can't decide. Because we can't decide, we want you to decide for us. Go to our Facebook page and click LIKE on which buckle you want to wear. The buckle with the most LIKES on 11:59pm on Friday, July 17th will be selected. The upgrade to the MagBuckle Bottle Opener will be available to all backers who choose a buckle for an additional $5 per buckle.

Closing Night Party
We're also having a party in Denver to celebrate a successful Kickstarter campaign. To celebrate, come have a beer with us at The Pub on Pearl in Denver. We're still hashing out the details about the event, but right meow we just know it will be at 8:00pm on Saturday, July 18th.
Surveys
We still plan on sending out the surveys between July 27th and August 2nd. If you are new to Kickstarter, the survey is like your order. You will take your survey through BackerKit. At that time you will be able to enter your shipping information and adjust your order.

We just want to say again, thank you. If you haven't read our story yet. Devin was driving for Lyft last year when he met Kyle. He showed him the MagBelt design, Kyle loved it, they later asked me to join them. We never imagined we'd get this type of support. It goes to show, you never know who you might meet that could change your life. Thank you to all of our backers, we couldn't have done this with out you.

Thank you so much and we want to welcome all our new backers and express our sincere appreciation for your pledges. It's been quite a busy week for the Magzook Team--we’re entering the home stretch of our campaign and have only 9 days to go.
PERSONALLY:
Devin just returned to Denver from a wedding back home in Michigan. Kyle has finally finished Orange Is the New Black, and I just returned from a few weeks traveling around Australia with my girlfriend. We drove from Brisbane to Sydney in a camper-van and we also got engaged!

In honor of Lady Liberty, veterans, Honest Abe, fireworks, barbecues, Goose and Maverick, 4 day weekends, Apollo Creed, cold beer, and the last holiday in America where it’s socially acceptable to blare Lee Greenwood and blow things up…we bring you ‘Merica: The Belt.
We know we have a lot of backers from other countries and we love you and can't thank you enough for your support! We don't want you to feel left out, and if we meet this stretch goal, we're planning on releasing another that syncs up more with an international audience.

1st Update - Personal and Professional

Hello Backer Friends!
We wanted to give you an update on where we’re at, personally and professionally.
Personally: I am currently at home binge-watching Orange is the New Black with my cat named Circus and my girlfriend Kayla (the girl in the belt photos that looks like she walked through sprinklers), Devin is at home listening to Bruce Springsteen, Tindering, and sewing our dads belated Father’s Day Belts, and Mike is currently socializing with Koala Bears, listening to Men At Work, and traversing the Land Down Under with his bae.
Professionally: I’m vetting fulfillment companies to make sure you all get your MagBelts in a timely fashion, Devin just pre-ordered 2,000 buckles from our Denver-based partner Bratek Engineering so that we can get a head start on production (cutting and tumbling the buckles is the longest part of our manufacturing process, so we wanted to get a jump on it)…
And Mike—who is probably the only person in our trio that can actually be called a professional—has no cell service and is intermittently sending us emails from an Australian desert, letting us know that we’re probably screwing this update up…his girlfriend’s last Instagram photo was of him on top of Ayer’s Rock/Uluru, frantically waiving his phone in the air, hoping he’d catch a signal to stop us. G’day Mike!
We’ve already ordered more buckles, more webbing, and let our manufacturing partners here in Colorado know that we’ve received a ton of support and that we’re going to need them to sew a lot of belts and cut a lot of buckles. Like us, they are up to the task and are excited to get to work! We’ll give you more updates as we progress in the production of our initial rewards.
THIS IS ALSO VERY IMPORTANT:
We've been learning a lot in this process, and recently we've learned that some other amazing projects noticed the MagBelt and shared it with their backers. We want to give them the same support, and we only do this for projects we honestly like. Please help us help them and checkout these seriously great ideas.
